Getting around The Ohio State University and the Columbus area may seem overwhelming, but there are plenty of resources to get you around. The University has its own bus system that can take you virtually anywhere on the Columbus Campus. In addition, the City has its own bus system, which is free of charge for students, faculty and staff of The Ohio State University. COTA runs throughout the Columbus area and is another reliable mode of transportation.

COTA

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) refers to Columbus's city bus system, which transports people all over the Columbus area. Students with a valid BUCK ID may ride the COTA bus for free, at anytime, from and to any location. For more information on the COTA bus system, visit www.cota.com.

CABS

The Campus Area Bus Service (CABS) provides transportation in and around the Columbus Campus at The Ohio State University. CABS is part of the University's Transportation & Parking Services. The CABS bus is FREE, so just hop on! No ID or bus pass is needed to ride on-campus buses. CABS provides frequent shuttles between the remote parking on West Campus, the Buckeye Lot and from several areas on Central Campus.

Student Escort Service

Be Safe! Do not walk alone! Utilize the Student Escort Service.

The Escort Service was developed to provide safe transportation during the evening and early morning hours for students in the campus area. Trained uniformed Safety Service officers will walk or drive students to and from their destinations within the service area when the person being escorted feels unsafe walking alone.
